Pergola - Hessle - Hull
This week Bluebell Joinery Services built a bespoke covered pergola in Hessle.
The customer had recently had their garden re-modelled with a new patio and artificial grass and was looking to have a covered gazebo / pergola built over patio.
We had to position posts carefully within brick edging to new patio so as not to damage new tiles.
There was 6 support posts in total. these where 100x100 timber posts.
With the patio been an unusual quadrilateral shape the roof was a complicated hip design. Making all rafters different lengths.
Rafters where all 150x50 treated timber.
Roof was constructed with 150x19 treated timber boards and then good quality felt was laid.
A gutter was fitted to rear of pergola and a hidden waste pipe brought around the side of pergola to drain into a water butt.
Slatted screening was fitted to 3 internal sides of pergola. these where 50x25 round cornered treated timber.
a black membrane was fitted behind screening so you cannot see fence behind.
a total of 700 screws! where used in the construction.
