Simon your West Hull Handyman was asked by a customer to replace a rotten gate and posts by a customer in Kirk Ella. The gate was a big one this one and had gone rotten and the wind had blown the gate and damaged the hinges and locks. The gate was a big one, 2.2m high! and pretty heavy. It was constructed with softwood tongue and groove boarding. It was made in our own workshop and given a coat of white undercoat, after fitting it was finished with white gloss. Fitting was a bit tricky as one wall was not plumb so the gate had to be adjusted to suit. New posts where bolted to the walls with 8mm frame fixings we also fitted new handles and locks to complete the look. Customer was very pleased with finished gate and should last many years to come.
